Justin Timberlake Promotes New Myspace (Video)
Myspace has undergone a dramatic facelift. The outdated social network has surfaced with a fresh new look, some appealing tools, and a heavy promoter on its side. After investing in the failing Myspace last year, Sexy Back artist Justin Timberlake has kicked off a launch that should drive plenty of his fans to the formerly owned News Group property that has found new life under the ownership of Specific Media.
Sending out a tweet to masses, Justin Timberlake prompted fans to be on the lookout for the upcoming new Myspace. “THIS IS MYSPACE vimeo.com/myspace/the-ne…#NEWMYSPACE," J.T. shared. The link shows what the social network can do, allowing users to peruse pages horizontally, connect to Facebook and Twitter to transfer photos to their Myspace page, and listen to the radio as well as create playlists that you can share.
Previously talking about Myspace Timberlake stated, "There's a need for a place where fans can go to interact with their favorite entertainers, listen to music, watch videos, share and discover cool stuff and just connect. Myspace has the potential to be that place.” Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, co-owner Tim Vanderhook called Myspace “a social network for the creative community to connect to their fans. We’re going after artists.”
Fans will reportedly be able to sign up for the new Myspace soon by requesting an invite at the end of the promotional video.
