Justin Timberlake Debuts Two New Tracks at iHeartRadio Festival
In a week, Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience: Part 2 of 2 drops, and already, listeners were treated to a new single last week. Was “TKO,” his seven-minute collaboration with Timbaland, a taste of what’s going to come? In some senses, yes, but to further whet listeners’ audio palettes, the former NSYNC member debuted two more tracks this past weekend at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Although reports have Timberlake opening with his hits, the setlist included a couple of new tracks from Part 2 of 2: “True Blood” and “Only When I Walk Away.”
Both follow after the debut of “TKO” last week. The seven-minute song surfaced on his website with the following caption: "Should I release a new single today???"
“TKO” follows “Take Back The Night,” which came out in July and has so far reached No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100. Considering that seven minutes is a bit long for a single (Timbaland couldn’t have made a singles edit?), we’ll see how well it performs on the charts.
The 20/20 Experience: Part 2 of 2 comes out less than a year since its predecessor, which debuted in March 2013. Both albums will eventually be available together as a package called The Complete Experience. According to reports, the release includes 11 tracks total.
