Justin Timberlake Calls Return to Music "A Special Thing"
Justin Timberlake is beginning to respond to the mounting pressure for him to return to music. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to confirm that he’s going to be making new music anytime in the very near future.
The “What Goes Around” singer explained that making an album “is a really big deal” and that he uses his life experiences to create his songs. He went on to say: "For me, personally, when I do sit down and decide to do it, it's just a special thing.”
He definitely delivered on his last album, Future Sex/Love Sounds for which he won a Grammy and sold over 4 million units in the United States alone. That was all the way back in 2006 so, in six years he’s saying that not enough has happened in his life to warrant creating new material? That seems unlikely.
It may not have been directed at Rihanna, who has put out an album in each of the last three Novembers, but the 31-year-old did say: "I don't know that I can pump them out every year." Fair enough.
He really has put singing on the backburner to focus on his acting career. He’s currently promoting his new movie, Trouble With the Curve, and has starred in Friends with Benefits as well as the acclaimed the Social Network.
Timberlake is also focusing on something a little more personal. He’s planning his upcoming wedding with fiancé, Jessica Biel.
