Justin Bieber's Arrest Has Had No Effect on Selena Gomez, Says Demi Lovato
By now everyone knows that Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato are besties, and so you have to take the latter's word when she says that the former is strong – almost unperturbed – with the recent arrest of her former boyfriend Justin Bieber.
Gomez and Lovato struck up a deep friendship during their Disney days, and so it was only natural that they both spent a lot of time together after Gomez cancelled her tour of Australia to take a break from music.
Her hiatus was followed by Bieber's DUI arrest earlier this week, regarding which Lovato says Gomez is staying very 'strong.'
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest at a pre-Grammy party on Friday, the "Skyscraper" hitmaker talked about the bond she has with Gomez, saying: "We're really, really close."
She then touched on the subject of Bieber's infamous bout with the law enforcement authorities, adding: "Any advice I had for her [Gomez], we talked last night and — you know — it's between us. But I love her so much. We have an incredible friendship, [Gomez] is strong."
So intent at implying that Sel is over Bieber, Demi then claimed that she is 'doing really well right now.'
And it seems she is right. That's because in all of the last few media sightings of Gomez, she has looked extremely relaxed and genuinely seems to be enjoying her time away from the hustle and bustle of the music industry.
