Justin Bieber Instagrams ‘Journals’ Artwork
It was just this week we learned about Justin Bieber’s plans to put out a compilation of his Music Mondays tracks. Called Journals, the limited edition release comes out December 16 and will feature all 10 Music Mondays songs, plus five more that haven’t been released and some videos.
To prepare for that point on Monday, Bieber Instagrammed the artwork set to appear with each of the five new tracks, as well as the compilation as a whole. All feature the same theme and color scheme, of a small purple graphic at the center of a while background. The five new tracks, including three collaborations, are “Memphis,” “Backpack,” “What’s Hatnin’,” “One Life,” and “Swap It Out.”
Journals’ cover, on the other hand, features fifteen different images, each representing one of the album tracks.
Along with the music, Journals includes a series of music videos, footage from Bieber’s recent trip to Guatemala, and a trailer for upcoming movie Believe. In total, the compilation includes 18 items – all sold together until January 2. After that date, they can only be purchased separately.
Although it was known for a while that the pop star would put out 10 tracks for his Music Mondays series, which ends with the theatrical release of Believe, no one knew, until Billboard got the details this week, about the Journals compilation.
However, Journals isn’t a proper album. The singer’s expected full-length follow-up to 2012’s Believe doesn’t come out until the fourth quarter of 2014.
