Justin Bieber Gives 'SNL' Writers Full Freedom to Be Naughty With Pot Scandal
Justin Bieber has purportedly given "Saturday Night Live" writers total freedom to be as naughty as they want when he makes an appearance on the show next month.
The pop superstar, who is set to play the host on the live sketch show's February 9 episode, recently made the headlines for the wrong reasons when a picture of him smoking a strange cigarette - allegedly a blunt – surfaced online.
While the "SNL" writers regularly target celebrities and crack jokes at their expense, it was thought that Bieber's presence on the show will deter them from touching his pot scandal. However, TMZ's sources at NBC have told them that the "Baby" singer has informed the show runners not to weed out any material that uses the infamous incident to humour the viewers.
The aforementioned picture was published by TMZ last week and it shows Bieber sitting on a sofa in his Newport Beach hotel room holding a cigarette that is ablaze and looks a lot like a doobie.
The 18-year-old Canadian's representatives strongly denied the allegation at first but their stance softened once their client implicitly admitted it on Twitter.
"Everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up," Bieber tweeted last Saturday just after TMZ leaked the picture.
