Justin Bieber Gets Charged With Criminal Vandalism
Remember that egg-throwing incident from early in 2014, in which Justin Bieber allegedly caused $20,000 worth of damage to his neighbor’s property? If you do (or don’t, for that matter), the Biebs appeared in Los Angeles court on Monday to be charged with criminal vandalism.
Resolution to this case is still in the early stages. Right now, no one knows if Bieber will receive a felony or misdemeanor charge. Back in March, his attorney argued the charges should be downgraded to a misdemeanor, as Bieber was just playing a “silly prank.”
At the same time, the pop star who has seen his career wane over the past year appeared in court for another incident allegedly involving attempted robbery. Reports say that, while playing miniature golf, he got into an argument with a woman and took her phone, but prosecutors say there’s a lack of evidence supporting her statements.
Since the egg-throwing incident, Bieber has been looking at other real estate, even considering a move to Atlanta. However, since his Calabasas property went on the market, it has been sold to Khloe Kardashian.
Unlike the alleged robbery incident, it’s fairly certain Bieber threw eggs at his former neighbor’s property. Surveillance footage from the pop star’s own home captures the incident, with Bieber’s voice clearly recognizable.
