Justin Bieber Disowns Controversial 'What She Wants' Song
A song titled "What She Wants," which was allegedly sung by Justin Bieber, recently surfaced online. The tune's main talking point was the use of the controversial N-word by the Canadian starlet that garnered him a lot of criticism. But now, Bieber's camp has come forward to reveal that their client has nothing to do with the said song, and it is actually fake.
Speaking to TMZ, his rep claimed that the song was sung by a vocal doppelganger of their client and was then made available on the internet through a YouTube account whose name was also very similar to that of Bieber's official account.
It is believed that an underground artist named Khalil Underwood was the real singer of "What She Wants." A visit to his Twitter account shows that he did share the video of that song a few days ago. However, when the Beliebers started attacking him, he tweeted: "Daum the hate is crazy lol when I did NOTHING AT ALL!!!"
The statement was hard to believe because the voice heard in the song sounded exactly like Bieber's, but a little research revealed that they may actually be telling the truth.
After finding out about the counterfeit song, Universal Music Group immediately took legal action and got it removed from the video sharing website.
Underwood has since denied doing any wrongdoing, telling TMZ in a separate interview that he has nothing to do with the song, and the only reason he is being blamed is because he sounds a lot like Bieber.
