Justin Bieber Confirms a New Album is in The Works
Remember when Justin Bieber said he was “officially” retiring from music? It seems as if the “Boyfriend” singer is making a proper follow-up to 2012’s Believe after all!
Bieber’s in the news these days for everything but his music, from his on-again-off-again relationship with Selena Gomez to his troubles with the law, but since last year, there have been rumors a new album will come out in the fourth quarter of 2014.
Bieber confirmed the news this weekend by posting a video on Instagram. The crudely shot footage has the singer, casual as usual in a black baseball cap, playing a snippet of one of his songs. Following the R&B and hip-hop direction of Journals, this clip features a trap beat – but no vocals. So, we’ll just have to wait and see what he chooses to do.
He captioned the video with: “Going ham in my kitchen lol @soundzgram on the beat. #nextalbum”

At the end of 2012, Bieber stated he planned for retire: First in an interview and then on Twitter. With the former, his intentions were allowing his music to mature, and that he would be quitting music entirely. Beyond Journals coming out around the same time, the pop star’s had nothing else surface, so his plans didn’t seem too far-fetched.
