Joss Stone Turns Down Spot on "The Voice"

It seems like the new cool thing to do as a musician is to join one of these reality television shows. I can’t even believe the big names that have gone down that path – Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson, Will.i.am!  The list goes on.

One name that we will not be including any time soon is that of British singer, Joss Stone.  She recently revealed to Britain’s Daily Express that she was approached to be on The Voice UK and the soul singer just could not do it.

She said: "I was approached for 'The Voice' in Britain, but I don't think so. The thing is, I love music and I love singing with other people and I don't see it as a competition at all. I feel that those things are really good to get exposure but they kind of make it into a competition and that is just sad. Other than that it is great because they get to be heard by millions and they never would have been before."

It is interesting to note, though, that Stone got her start by appearing on the BBC reality talent show, "Star for a Night."
