Helping out late night host Jimmy Kimmel, artist Josh Groban performed his own rendition of the One Direction hit song ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ at the 2012 Emmy Awards this past Sunday,  Sept. 23rd.

The duo shared the stage in a comedic moment to pay homage to the life of Kimmel, as confirmed by Hollywood Life.  Before showcasing several clips of himself throughout his career while Groban performed in the background, Kimmel gave a small speech to the audience about celebrating the living.

"I think it's a shame that we wait to do this (in-memoriam tribute) until after our legends pass. It's important to celebrate the living too, so tonight I'd like you to join me in paying tribute to the life and work of someone all of us, someone every person in this room admires, respects and loves.”

To end the hilarious skit, Kimmel added at the close, "I'd like to apologize to Matt Damon. We run out of time.” Groban then sang out, “Sorry Matt Damon."  Watch the funny video below.
