Jose Feliciano Acknowledges Elvis Presley With The King
Jose Feliciano is about to show his respects to his lifetime idol, Elvis Presley, when he releases his new album 'The King'.
On the CD, Jose sings twelve handpicked Elvis songs. As well, Jose played all the instruments, he arranged all the music, and he sang all the background vocals. It's no wonder that the album took more than a year to accomplish, which Jose completed in his own private studio.
Earlier this year, Jose made a special journey to Memphis, Tennessee, where Elvis began his career. This visit was for the annual remembrance of the birth of "The King", and this year, Jose was asked to sing "Happy Birthday" with Elvis fans at the Birthday Cake Celebration. It was during this particular visit that Jose was lucky enough to meet a close friend of Elvis - someone who knew the man well and had deep knowledge of the mind of the world famous singer.
This close friend, George Klein, is still heavily involved with promoting Elvis. Every Friday, George hosts a radio show from Graceland for Sirius radio (which is a totally Elvis station i.e. 24/7). From this meeting with George Klein, developments occurred leading on to George becoming the executive producer of Jose's album, The King.
The CD is tipped to be very satisfying, showcasing not only the guitar magic of Jose Feliciano, but also the vocals from a man who has personally admired Elvis all his life. The album is a show of appreciation and affection for The King, Elvis Presley.
Jose Feliciano's You Are Always on My Mind is available now from iTunes, while the album The King will be ready for sale on 7th August.
