Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo Obsessed With Each Other

Young love is so sweet and so many people have been following the syrupy goodness of the relationship between American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, and her boyfriend, Jason Derulo.  Now, it seems, that the 22-year-old star of Sparkle is getting very serious about her romance.

She explained: "It's an obsession but it's reciprocal, because he's working too and he literally told me the other day, 'I'm trying to write this really sad, heartbreaking song, but I can't do it! And every song that I have right now is about love and it's going to be a sappy love CD!' So as obsessed as I am with him, he is with me."

They had been friends for a while but then things took a sudden change: "We did a show together last year in the Bahamas. After the show there was an after party for all of us, and he actually had someone with him so I wasn't even thinking about that. I was just like, 'Awesome! There's a space on the dance floor where I can dance by myself!' And then I was talking to him and the girl he was with was looking at me and killing me with her eyes! I was like, 'I'm not here to do anything. That's not what I'm here for!' Then he asked me to call him when I got back to L.A., and I don't know what possessed me to, but I did.  I went to his rehearsal, and rehearsal turned into dinner and dinner turned into talking to each other every day since."

The couple have even gotten up-close-and-personal with each other’s families!  "It's actually really cool because my mom is kind of a hard sell," Sparks revealed. "So his mom and my mom sat down and talked like they had known each other for their whole lives. I love his family, they're so sweet and huge! Huge Haitian family -- I'll never remember all their names. And his family loves me as well. His mom sends me texts. It's always good that the family approves and likes the person you're dating.  It's always difficult when they don't!"

What about what kills most Hollywood relationships?  Being apart for long periods of time. "No place is too far. We'll make it work," she says with a smile.
