Johan Reinhold Releases His First Track 'Shoot Me Down'
Swedish singer/songwriter, Johan Reinhold, has just released the very catchy "Shoot Me Down". It's a bit different, but no-one will doubt that it is definitely a good song – the sort of track that demands to be listened to more than once.
Immediately with the introduction, one in attracted to the opening electric guitar riffs coupled with the piano and the rhythmic beat of the drums. It might be classified as indie-electro-pop, but in the end it is good music with a lot of appeal. Reinhold is going to attract a wide range of fans – young and old. The sound of the guitar and musical backing is unreal … surreal … unbelievable.
This is Johan Reinhold's first song to be released; an introduction to what he is capable of. And with an album in the making, there will be a lot of interest in what lies ahead.
The song is about loss of love. It is all about how wonderful you feel when you are in love, compared to how terribly devastated you feel when love unexpectedly stops. In his lyrics, Johan sings, "Mayday! I've been shot down / I took a bullet to my heart." The pain of losing love is agonizing, just like being shot in the heart.
The song can be downloaded from Johan Reinhold's website – where it says, "for free if you like." Also the website shows the lyrics, and interestingly points out that the song was written by Johan Reinhold "on a sunny afternoon … in Sweden" in an area renowned for its scenic beauty. Even the website has some fresh ideas!
"Shoot Me Down" is a great new song. It's good music. I can't wait to hear more of what's in store.
