"Jesus Saves I Spend" Video Review

The video for "Jesus Saves, I Spend" finds St. Vincent's Annie Clark hanging out with a gaggle of Cub Scouts who, on a stage set out of the theater of the absurd, earn merit badges for things like sleeping bag escape, mind sandwiches, and, yes, book eating. (If you've ever zipped yourself into one of those mummy bags, the first one doesn't seem so far-fetched). Through the surreal twists, Clark serves as the doting den mother, ultimately finding herself reading stories to the kids around a campfire while dressed in a slinky cocktail dress. OK. Andy Bruntel directs with Bucky Fukumoto; both, as far as I can tell, obey the law of the pack.
