Jessie J and Robin Thicke Appear in New Music Video for DJ Cassidy
Yesterday, a new music video surfaced featuring Jessie J and Robin Thicke – only the track is for DJ Cassidy.
Although Cassidy has less star power than either of the two singers, the video for “Calling All Hearts” paints a bright picture with – as you guessed it – emphasis on “pink” visuals – mainly, hearts and flamingoes.
While the video itself isn’t particularly imaginative, the video itself leads into one recent issue concerning the two singers: That Jessie J and Thicke were scheduled to tour the U.S. starting in April, but the Voice U.K. judge bowed out.
This isn’t the first instance Jessie J canceled a tour. And this time around, the reason remains the same: She needs more time to work on new music. In a statement, she said: “My team and I have decided it's best I prioritize recording/studio and promo to finish the album for my US fans and having the opp for a single to be released for you sooner than later. Timing isn't always perfect but I want to make it work! And hopefully have my own shows in the USA someday! I hope you understand.”
For those that don’t know, Jessie J’s second full-length album Alive dropped in the U.K. last fall, but the U.S. release has been delayed indefinitely. The label apparently pulled it, fearing U.S. audiences wouldn’t connect with it. Rumors have circulated that the singer is reworking and recording new material with Pharrell Williams and is possibly considering a move across the Atlantic to better-connect with American audiences.
