Jessica Simpson to Name Next Baby Ace!
Pop superstar Jessica Simpson has already finalised the name for her second baby, according to a report published by Us Weekly. The 32-year-old singer's upcoming baby son, who is due sometime this summer, will apparently be named Ace.
The entertainment magazine's unnamed source told them: "[She's] told people she's going to name the baby Ace!"
Simpson and her retired NFLer fiancé Eric Johnson became first-time parents in May last year when she gave birth to Maxwell Drew Johnson. The reason they chose that name for their first-born was that Maxwell is the family name of the baby's paternal great-grandma, while Drew is the maiden name of her maternal grandmother. "It's nothing shocking and nothing you'll have to add to the dictionary. Still, when people hear it they'll know why," the "Come On Over" crooner explained back then.
Hence, that instance of naming their baby that way suggests that Ace might also be a tribute to someone in their family, although no confirmation or explanation in this regard has been given yet.
Simpson shed a ton of weight after her first pregnancy, thanks to her multimillion dollar deal with Weight Watchers. However, her tummy started to grow a bump once again last November, raising suspicions that her clan may have another addition very soon. She didn't address those rumours straightaway and confirmed what was already known a month later.
Explaining her unplanned second pregnancy, she said: "Apparently [my second pregnancy] was a part of God's plan for my life. I was extremely shocked... because I was going through a lot of hormonal changes, trying to get back to the old, vibrant Jessica. You know, it was kind of like a one-night stand. And it happened, all over again!"
