Jessica Simpson's Parents Divorcing - Is Dad Gay?

It’s been a big year for Jessica Simpson. The singer welcomed her daughter, Drew Maxwell, became the spokesperson for Weight Watchers and embarked on a journey to a healthier life as a mother but now her family is changing yet again. 

Her parents, Tina and Joe Simpson, are splitting up and there have been all sorts of reports about the possible reason.  When Tina filed divorce papers in a Texas court, she explained that "the marriage has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."

Perhaps, it was the deviation from the standard “irreconcilable differences” but The National Enquirer allegedly snooped around and discovered that the divorce proceedings started after Joe came out as gay and confessed to having a much younger lover.

The tabloid claims that he broke the news to his family two months ago and that he, ultimately, had to tell Tina that he couldn’t fit his feelings for men any longer.  The couple have since denied that there are any third parties involved in the breakup of their marriage.

Whatever the reason, it’s always sad to see a relationship fail after so many years.  Hopefully, this will be the beginning of a healthier, happier time for the Simpson clan.
