Jennifer Lopez and French Montana Collaborate on New Track “I Luh Ya Papi”
Can J. Lo’s comeback continue? We’ll have to see how it pans out. In the meantime, there’s new track “I Luh Ya Papi,” a collaboration with French Montana.
The new song’s expected to be on her upcoming studio album, which has been in the works for some time. The release would follow up 2011’s Love?, considered her first full-length hit about 2008’s semi-flop Brave.
“I Luh Ya Papi” came with an announcement on Instagram, featuring the cover art. Lopez stands in a white swimsuit on a yacht, with a clear blue sky in the background. Then, the track premiered officially on Wednesday on Yessi Ortiz’s Power 106 show.
Produced by The Detail, “I Luh Ya Papi” follows tracks “Some Girl,” “Girls,” and “Live It Up,” all of which are expected to be on the upcoming album.
Last August, Lopez said that her latest album would come out soon, but fans have yet to see a new release. Rumors have her working with producer RedOne, who produced “On The Floor.”
As her official comeback, Love? piggybacked over the singer/actress’ success as an American Idol judge. The album peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart.
