Jay-Z and Beyonce Will Host Obama Fundraiser

The powerful couple will be doing their best to help Obama get re-elected in November. Jay-Z and Beyonce Will Host Obama Fundraiser

President Obama is trying his hardest to get re-elected and, just like his first campaign, many of the music industry’s biggest stars are throwing their weight behind him to show their support.

The New York Post is reporting that Jay-Z and Beyonce, arguably one of the world’s most powerful celebrity couples, are hosting a fundraiser and are charging their 100 guests $40,000 per ticket.  That’s incredible!

The event is set to go down on September 18, 2012 at the rapper’s 40/40 Club.

The support is not surprising for a few reasons. First, Obama has always been vocal about his love for hip-hop and even named Jay-Z and Beyonce as artists he has on his iPod.  Even Snoop Lion gave his stamp of approval for another four years under Obama’s administration.

Of course, there’s also the fact that Beyonce clearly adores Michelle Obama.  In an absolutely beautiful letter and video, Beyonce said, among other things: “Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that you do for us. I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to."  The First Lady responded by saying: "Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to."

This year’s presidential election will take place on November 6, 2012.
