Jay Sean And Lil Wayne Release Music Video
The music video for 'Hit the Lights'- Jay Sean's new single featuring Lil Wayne, premiered today.
This comes as the first single of Sean's new album 'Freeze Time' and it is not the first time he has collaborated with the ground-breaking rapper. The two worked together on Sean's first big US hit 'Down' in 2009, when he had just been signed to Wayne's Label Cash Money Records.
They were also both featured in Kevin Rudolf's 2010 hit 'I made it (Cash money heroes)'. "I learn off people who achieved greatness" Sean talks of Lil Wayne, "when I watch him do what he does in my head I'm looking at a guy [thinking] well this is the reason why he got to where he is&". The club song makes Sean proud as he says he feels he has finally made a song which can be "battled across all the clubs and on the radio" and doesn't need to be remixed or changed.
The music video, which features Birdman, DJ Khaled and of course Lil Wayne, starts with Sean switching the lights on and getting the crowd going with the upbeat tune, as he usually does in his hit videos.
The British singer has recently broken records of best selling British European male urban artist in the US history after having dominated the UK since 2004.
Sean's new album is expected to be released on July 5.
