Jason Aldean Releases Music Video For 'Tattoos On This Town'

Country music superstar, Jason Aldean, has just released the music video for Tattoos on this Town, the fourth single to come off his latest album My Kinda Party. The track is a soft country rock song all about a small-town man, and takes a nostalgic look at life in the country town and the love which develops. Like some little places in the country, fun is all about drag-racing cars and pickup-trucks, life on the land, and the sorts of happy times that only rural-community people know.

The music video begins with a panoramic shot of a country scene near a dam. Thinking that a quiet relaxed story will follow, the peace is totally shattered with the loud strumming of guitars while souped-up hot rods start doing "burn outs" on a bitumen county road ready to race each other.

The first "tattoo on this town" is imprinted on the road – the skid marks from the tyres. Scenes that follow show more "tattoos on this town" like the words "marry me" painted in big letters on the overpass, the damaged letterbox, the window that was broken when a baseball catch was missed, and the rope swing that hangs from the oak tree over the river. Many indelible memories of fun-times over the years have been left unchanged, i.e. the tattoos on this town.

Following the fun times, the video continues along the journey of love and marriage, family, and the sadness of going off to fight for his country. In a very emotional departure, the young man leaves to go to war. The next scene shows the worst possible scenario: two marines arrive at the young wife's front door to notify her that her husband has made the ultimate sacrifice.

In an uplifting finale, in what seems like a few years later, their young son finds another "tattoo on this town" – if that doesn't bring a tear to your eyes, … then nothing will!
