Jack White Tops the Billboard Charts
The reports are in: Jack White's Blunderbuss has topped the Billboard 200.
The rocker's debut solo album has sold 138,000 copies in its first week, the first time the singer has hit the top slot in his career. None of his other groups, including The White Stripes, Dead Weather, and Raconteurs, ever reached the title.
Following White is Adele, Nicki Minaj, Lionel Ritchie, Gotye, the Wanted, and One Direction. White has also topped the UK's charts, according to Billboard.
White is currently touring in support of the album, but expect more new music sooner rather than later. According to his interview with Radio 1, White has enough leftover material that can be reworked into another solo album.
He also added, "There's songs that White Stripes never really played live, or Raconteurs never really got that into, or songs that I brought to the table in a band - songs like "Buffalo" - and now I can elaborate on them."
