Jack Johnson Releases New Christmas Song ‘In The Morning’

Singer Jack Johnson will be releasing a new Christmas song just in time for the holiday season.  The name of Johnson’s latest track is titled ‘In The Morning’, and is featured on the ‘This Warm December: A Brushfire Volume 2’ album from Brushfire Records.

Johnson’s new song is among the listing of other featured artists who contributed to the album.  Artists G. Love, Money Mark, Rogue Waves, and more, are also part of the holiday album.  Volume 2 goes on sale November 15^th, according to EW, with some of the profits being donated to kids for music education.

Meanwhile, Jack Johnson news has been slim as of late when it comes to the 'Bad News' singer, but johnson did talk in a June interview with MotherJones.Com about his sixth studio album, To the Sea.  Johnson recorded the album in his "100 percent solar-powered recording studio on Hawaii's Oahu Island," sharing that his latest studio album zeroes in on what he calls the middle of his life.

“Usually after I finish an album I'll look at it and try to see if there is a theme to carry through. On this one, it seemed like there were a lot of songs that were talking about getting to the ocean, or a river flowing by on a crazy ocean and things like that. I think for me, the reference is that I'm right in the middle of my life." 

Adding that he still feels young.  "I guess at some times I feel like my parents' son still. And it's my own Dad leading me to the ocean. And other times I feel like I look in the other direction and I’m pulling my kids down there, whether it's actually to the beach or just thinking of the interpretation of water being the subconscious and looking to get beneath that surface and understand yourself better.”
