Is Kimberly Williams-Paisley Joining "Nashville" Permanently?
Nashville follows the fictional lives of entertainers living and working in the Music City and, if they are looking for authenticity, what better cast member could they choose than the wife of a country superstar?
Kimberly Williams-Paisley may be best known for her role in the Father of the Bride movies but she clearly made an impact when she guest-starred as Peggy Samper on the new ABC drama. If the show is renewed for a second season, she could be offered a permanent spot among the cast.
The show centers on the Rayna James (Connie Britton) and her husband, Teddy Conrad (Eric Close), who is running for mayor. Peggy comes in to the picture as a mysterious and intriguing component of Teddy’s past and her presence could possibly do a lot of damage to his life.
So far, there have been 13 episodes ordered of Nashville, with Williams-Paisley appearing in six of them with three more planned.
Williams-Paisley seems to be fitting in nicely with her potential co-stars already. She appeared alongside Britton and Hayden Panettiere at the CMA Awards earlier this month.
In case you haven’t seen it, Nashville airs Wednesday nights at 10pm ET on ABC.
