INXS Song Hits Top of US Dance Charts
Original Sin was big 27 years ago, now the INXS song has become an international club hit. A new version of the single has been made by INXS, but this time the lyrics are sung by Rob Thomas with Cuban singer DJ Yaleidys. The new re-release has hit the number one spot on the US Billboard Dance Charts.
One listen to the unique voice Rob Thomas (from Matchbox 20) on this "cover version re-vamped as a club track" will get you hooked. And the Cuban DJ adds a Latin flavour that is unmistakable. It is no wonder that this new spin on a great song has had such heavy airplay on radio and in clubs around Europe.
INXS Feat Rob Thomas and DJ Yaleidys - "Original Sin"
The song "Original Sin" was first released in 1984 on the album The Swing with Michael Hutchence singing the lyrics. In news that shocked the world, the death of Michael Hutchence in 1997 did not put an end to the music of INXS. Since that tragic time, the band has enlisted the support of a number of singers to replace their front-man. Their latest album Original Sin utilises the talents of numerous vocalists covering songs from the INXS past. Some of the featured artists (besides Rob Thomas) include Ben Harper Never Tear Us Apart, Tricky Mediate and singer from Train, Pat Monahan who sings Beautiful Girl.
On July 3, INXS begin a tour of Canada and then go around the US performing 25 concerts by the 14th of August .
