I Don't Feel Like Dancing Video

Video Review
They’re **** (mostly), they’re glam (gloriously) and they’re back. Britain’s favourite Americans ever had one of the biggest selling albums of 2004 on these shores - and it was their debut. It was compared to the best, the most camp, of Elton John. This time round, the Pinball Wizard tinkles the ivories for them.
But acoustic guitar is still present and correct, Babydaddy is still the man producing, and Scissor Sisters have somehow managed to retain that which was splendidly scissory about them. It seems they had such a good time first time round that they’d love you to help them do it all again.
So when they say I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’, it should come as no surprise at all that the lyrics, sung by Jake Shears in his now instantly recognisable Bee Gees-homaging squeak, take no account at all of the music’s insistence that all who hear it do dance. After all, it’s unavoidable. "By singing about not feeling like dancing, it was the only way to write a dance song that was fun," says Jake, obliquely.
Whatever, the Sisterhood beckons, and one of the 21st century’s best bands is cuttin’ it up like they’ve never been away. Now where did I leave my glitter...
