Hilary Duff Goes in Studio to Record New Album
Once a successful Disney television star and a recording artist, Hilary Duff clearly has moved past her teen dream days. But unlike contemporary Lindsay Lohan, she stays pretty much out of the tabloids. However, with no films out and no new music since 2007, the former Lizzy McGuire star now appears to have a new album planned.
According to PerezHilton.com, Duff Instagrammed a black-and-white photo of herself singing in the studio. While the singer hasn’t made a direct announcement yet, a news source tweeted a confirmation that she has a new album and song in the works: "@HilaryDuff was at @TheLairStudio today with @BillyMann recording a new song called "Better Days" for her new album."
There has been talk of a new album for the singer/actress, with her speaking about a possible EDM sound back in August. She had said: "I'm exploring a lot of cool options & don't want to give a timeline yet but I promise exciting stuff is coming.. I'm super into EDM. Definitely catchy hooks I've always cared a lot abt lyrics & love to dance!"
Since her career peak in the mid-‘00s, Duff has laid relatively low, getting married and having a child in the process. 2007’s Dignity was her last studio release, although sales and chart ranks were slightly lower compared to Metamorphosis and her previous albums.
