Red-blooded pop fans could barely disguise their distress when Alison Goldfrapp ditched her vampish dominatrix schtick for pastoral, dreamy folk on new album Seventh Tree.

Boasting parping trumpets, finely-balanced synths and lush, organic production, 'Happiness' is a soothing, tender pop song that's cooler than a whole pack of mini-milk ice lollies.
