Gunplay Denies Firing Shots During BET Awards Brawl

Despite the fact that a major fight broke out, he claims he did not take out his gun. Gunplay Denies Firing Shots During BET Awards Brawl

This weekend was not only to celebrate the BET Awards but it was also meant to support the Stop the Violence movement and, from the sounds of it, everything failed miserably.  Here’s what happened.

Game allegedly punched 211 at Lil Wayne’s birthday party and was kicked out and then Jeezy and Rick Ross brought their beef to the BET Awards and things just went crazy from there.  The most distressing is that Ross’ protégé, Gunplay, is being accused of firing shots during a melee in which he claims he had to fight off five of 50 Cent’s security guards.

Apparently, Gunplay instigated a fight with 50 Cent but things did not end well for the emerging star.  He says that the established rapper’s security detail told him that they were going to “break his little f*cking neck” and then he was pepper sprayed, handcuffed and escorted out of the Awards by members of the Atlanta police.

Despite the fracas, Gunplay denies using his guns saying: "I don't know nothing about no shots fired, I'm a be totally honest with you, but all I know, I had to fight off five dudes. I never liked [50], I've always wanted to kick his ass. I finally got the opportunity to get close to him, he was hiding behind all his security. I couldn't get to him."

If his descriptions are anywhere near accurate, the security guards were big guys.  He referred to them as “refrigerators,” “donkeys” and “wildebeests.”  Gunplay doesn’t sound like he’s being dramatic at all (insert sarcasm).

Hopefully, everyone will look at this situation and see how pointless this sort of thing is because, not only do they risk injuring themselves but they also hurt the industry.
