Green Day "¡Uno!" Album Artwork Revealed
Green Day fans who have been eagerly awaiting anything related to the first part of an upcoming album trilogy were undoubtedly thrilled to see the artwork for ¡Uno! Which is expected to be released on September 25, 2012. This will be the first new music from the band since their 2009 effort, 20th Century Breakdown.
The cover is silly and campy and intriguing which is appropriate given the unique nature of this upcoming musical trifecta. In addition to revealing the cover art, the band released a 30-second trailer to let fans see some of that has happened behind-the-scenes during the creative process. In the video, a dry erase board can be seen with what are likely song titles scribbled on it (titles like "Carpe Diem," "Crushing Bastards" and "Makeout Party").
Three years is really not an unreasonable amount of time for an artist or group to take to release new material so it’s absolutely incredible that Green Day has been able to produce three albums in that time period. The second and third albums, ¡Dos! and ¡Tré!, will be released on November 13, 2012 and January 15, 2013, respectively.
