Green Day Premiere's Music Video for "Stay The Night"
Following front man Billie Joe Armstrong’s recent admission to rehab and jaw-dropping violent scene at the iHeartRadio music festival, Green Day releases the music video for their new single “Stay the Night”. The tune is off of their album ¡Uno!, which is part of a trilogy of albums. ¡Uno! hits store shelves today while the last two albums in the trilogy, ¡Dos!, and ¡Tré! will be released on November 13, 2012 and January 15, 2013 respectively.
¡Uno! Is the ninth studio album to be released by the band. Three singles have already been released from the album namely, “Oh Love”, “Kill the DJ” and “Let Yourself Go”. Green Day have established themselves as veterans in an industry where artists come and go. While we may have though they’d be slowing down, Billie Joe says they are at the very height of their musical careers.
In an interview back in February he said, "We are at the most prolific and creative time in our lives... This is the best music we've ever written, and the songs just keep coming. Instead of making one album, we are making a three album trilogy. Every song has the power and energy that represents Green Day on all emotional levels. We just can't help ourselves ... We are going epic as f***!"
On September 22, Billie Joe Armstrong had an onstage meltdown after he found out the band’s time on stage had been cut from 45 to 25 minutes to allow more time for Usher’s performance. After a string of obscenities and two smashed guitars, Billie was escorted to rehab for substance abuse.
