Gotye Releases Music Video For ‘Save Me’
Gotye has released a new music video for his song ‘Save Me’. Unlike most traditional music videos, the artist has chosen to opt out of making an appearance in the clip and has used animation to accompany the emotional tune that the singer wrote during a state of depression.
"I had really depressed periods especially after trying to mix the first few songs, whereas I felt it just wasn't happening.” Adding, “I was like 'I've put so much work into this. Do I go back to square one? Do I book more time and try again?' Or write new songs, which turned out to be the answer. And I did go back and revisit those initial songs, which did get mixed and turned out great."
Gotye also shared that ‘Save Me’ is a tribute to his friend Tash Parker, a singer and songwriter who helped him "out of a lot of depression through her grace. I really wanted this song to express the salvation I find in the love she's given me and how blessed I feel in that."
‘Save Me’ comes off of Gotye’s third studio album entitled ‘Making Mirrors’ that was released last year. Check out the new music video below.
