A new music video has just been released by the Goo Goo Dolls to promote their latest single "Notbroken", taken from their ninth studio album "Something for the Rest of Us". The material for the song has come from a chance meeting between lead singer Johnny Rzeznik and a fan. She talked about her husband who had served in Iraq. He said to American Songwriter: "I met a woman in a meet and greet and talked to her for about two or three minutes where she slipped me a note which told me this story about how her husband was a soldier in Iraq and about how he's been injured."

Continuing, he said: "He didn't really want to come home to her because he was afraid that she wouldn't accept him the way that he had been changed by the war. I don't know who the woman is. I don't have the note anymore, but it was one of those situations where down the road I started thinking about that and I was like, 'My God, this is the true cost of war'."

In an interview with Star News Online, Rzeznick said that the band would explore some of the issues of the present day lyrically.

In accordance with this theme, he has cut back on Tweeting, because he believes that much of the content on Twitter is just not interesting. He is also urging others to reduce their time in cyberspace. He said to BlogTalkRadio: "I think the Internet, for all of the alleged bringing together of the world, I think it's created a generation of really, really lonely kids that sit at home on their computers. I think it's kind of sad. Just go out and play and run around in the backyard."

He continued further, saying: "I don't know where this paranoia comes from the parents that don't want their kids outside. Are there really more child abductions now than when we were kids? I don't think so. It's just more publicised now and everybody's parents are freaking out and turning their kids into scared little people that never leave home and sit on the computer."
