Glee's Lea Michele Working on Debut Music Album
Singer/actress Lea Michele has covered many hit songs on hit musical comedy-drama "Glee" but has never sung her own personal songs. However, that is about to change now, as the 26-year-old soprano range crooner has announced that she is currently working on her first ever music album.
Michele, who plays the character of Rachel Berry on the show, tweeted: "Just had a very exciting music meeting and am proud to announce that im officially on the road to making my first album! I'm so excited!" before adding in a separate one: "There's so much to be thankful for right now. Feeling so blessed and thankful. And I couldn't do it without all of you! Love you guys!"
She made the announcement just a day before the second episode of Glee's fourth season got aired. The episode was the show's second ever tribute to pop superstar Britney Spears and was titled "Britney 2.0."
The multitalented songstress performed Spears' super hit sing "Oops!...I Did It Again" on this episode in front of her NYADA choreographer Kate Hudson. The song's lyrical content has more than enough sexiness but the "Glee" star added some slow-moving sultry dance moves to it and took it to a whole new level.
She is considered one of the best singers and performers on the show and it is no surprise since she began her career in the 1990s in musical theatres. In fact, so impressive was she on Broadway that she got a Drama Desk Award nomination for her excellent performances in Steven Sater's highly-acclaimed rock musical "Spring Awakening."
