"Ghetto Dance" Video Review

Range is the latest artist to sign to what's being called StarRoc, which is an amalgam of production due Stargate and Jay-Z's Roc Nation label. And, as is displayed on "Ghetto Dance," this crooner is a blend of what we have heard before from singers like Akon and others who combine natural vocals with Auto-Tune. It actually kind of works on Range's first single, though, as the Auto-Tune bits are layered as back-up vocals rather than being in the forefront. Even though Rick Ross delivers some corny punch lines, his rugged voice is a nice juxtaposition to Range's higher-pitched singing. It only helps that the beat is undeniably catchy, too.

While this single’s strictly-for-the-club style may not be everyone’s cup of tea, those looking to get low will likely find that it suits their purposes perfectly.
