Garth Brooks Celebrates Hall of Fame Induction, Hints at New Music
Garth Brooks has had an incredible career and was recognized for his contribution by being inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. An emotional Brooks was honored by his own idols, Bob Seger, James Taylor and George Strait. He mused at the fact that they would be performing his songs and, for that night, he got “to be the fan.”
Despite his incredible popularity (he once drew more than 750,000 people to Central Park for an outdoor show), he has been semi-retired for almost a decade although he has been performing in his own show in Las Vegas. Now that his three-year run is coming to an end, will the third best-selling artist in U.S. history begin staging a comeback? He’s certainly hinting at it!
In a recent interview, the country star said that now that there is just one child left at home, who is now a junior in high school, returning to his career seems to be a more feasible option. He explained that his youngest, Allie, is included in the decision-making and now has her blessing to head back on the road.
Hopefully, this means we will be hearing new music from Garth Brooks in the near future. After being gone so long, it would be interesting to see how his sound has changed and how his life experiences would translate into his albums.
