"Gangsta Gangsta" Video Review

"Gangsta Gangsta" may not be as convincing as the original N.W.A. version (it lacks the introductory gun shots and Eazy-E's threat to put a "foot up ya ass"), but Scrappy's take is every bit as catchy. Behind a tightly wound Lil Jon production -- all minor key synths and hand clap-laden beats -- ATL's Scrappy reveals that he'll explain "the meaning of ashes to ashes and dust to dust," but you'd be a fool for expecting an etymological dissection. Jon pops in during the chorus, chanting (of course), "I'm a gangsta gangsta!" To which Scrappy replies, "Get trigger squeezed up."
