French Montana Announces He Will Be Producing Diddy’s Next Album
I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine applies to French Montana and Diddy’s relationship in the studio. The mogul produced French Montana’s full-length debut album, Excuse My French, which came out in 2013. Now returning the favor, Montana announced he plans to executive produce Diddy’s upcoming release, tentatively titled MMM.
The Bronx-raised rapper revealed his plans on Instagram, saying: "Studiovibe executive producing my brother new album @iamdiddy #mmm get ready #getready."
He then followed it with a video of Diddy dancing. Watch it here.
Right now, there’s very little known about MMM – including if that’s the actual album’s title. If so, fans have wondered what it stands for.
While Montana’s flexing his executive producing skills, he’s also in the process of putting together his own sophomore release, now called Mac & Cheese 4. Although following a series of mixtapes, the album will be a full-length studio release, which should come out at some point in 2014.
MMM follows Last Train to Paris, put out in December 2010 as Diddy – Dirty Money, a group consisting of the rapper and singers Dawn Richards and Kalenna Harper. The release features 16 guest vocalists, including Grace Jones and Lil Wayne, and was Bad Boy’s first through Interscope, after moving from Atlantic. Rodney Jerkins executive produced the album.
Do you think French Montana’s a good choice for this album? If not, who else?
