"Flyentology" Video Review

This first clip from El-P's upcoming I'll Sleep When You're Dead is a collaboration with Williams Street, the Atlanta-based division of Cartoon Network that produces Adult Swim. The video, which is animated in black, white and lime green, looks and feels like a comic book, especially with its dotted backgrounds and strong, dark lines.

El-P, here with guest Trent Reznor, criticize group thought and faith in the track's lyrics, but the video is a more specific story, where suit-wearing flies work on a mass conversion of humans. People that enter with their own faces and personalities leave as flies, with expressionless, blank eyes. The video was directed by Daniel Garcia and Nathan Love. Garcia has previously directed videos for MF Doom and J Dilla.
