Florence Welch Takes Break from Music to Get Inspired
Indie rock band Florence and the Machine's lead singer Florence Welch has revealed that she is ready to take a short break from the regular music making.
The 26-year-old singer says that she is fed up of fulfilling the hectic obligations of her music career and therefore, she would like to do something else for a change.
In a recent interview with The Evening Standard, Welch said: "I've been on tour since I was 21. I need a break and to have the chance to do normal things, like go to the supermarket and hang out with my friends."
She then disclosed another reason why she doesn't want to make new music at this point.
"I've only just moved out of my mum's house, so I'd like to settle into my new place and start getting inspired again. If I started writing songs now, all they'd be about is tour buses and hotel rooms," the "Lungs" hitmaker explained.
Music is such a major part of her life that despite talking about taking a break from it, one of her planned leisure activities could still be making some more of it, although of some different nature. One of her buddies told the same publication that Welch is holding a lot of content that would be more suitable for a musical and so there is a chance that she might work on it during her said sabbatical from mainstream music.
