Last year, Chris Brown started working on a new album. Today, the first single from the album – now titled Fortune – was released. The track, called “Turn Up The Music,” is exactly the way it sounds – a club song with a Ke$ha sound and an LMFAO reference that’s ripe for ample mixing. Written and produced by the Underdogs, “Turn Up The Music” will be available digitally on February 14.

Earlier this year, producer David Banner, who was working with Brown on both Fortune and last mixtape Boy In Detention, hinted that the “Yeah 3x” singer would be aiming for a more dance-influenced sound. At the time, Banner said: "Chris is moving to another level. You barely hear strong R&B records in the club anymore, unless they sound like rap records. Chris is definitely going to bring singing back to the club."

If you haven’t had a chance to hear the track, listen to the track here:

Do you agree with Danner’s statement? Does Brown really bring “singing back to the club”?

Although Brown has been in the news recently for a possibly rekindled relationship – or at least friendship – with Rihanna, he won’t be speaking about it anytime soon. Tina Davis of TDC/Phase said in an interview with Billboard: “Not have him do interviews but to concentrate on performing and recording. It was something we set a while back. We're not trying to be rude, selfish or disrespectful to anyone in any way. If people are going to judge anything, judge him for his talent. He signed up to sing and entertain. Not to talk about his personal life. We look at it as starting all over. Our grind, our choices are different than they probably would have been three years ago. But we are humbly trying to get back into the swing of things.”
