Fire Destroys Home of Country Singer Trace Adkins
Early Saturday evening, fire and rescue responded to the Nashville home of country star Trace Adkins. All the while, the country crooner was on-board a plane en route to friendly Alaska. When notified of the devastation, he immediately boarded a return flight back home to be with his loved ones.
It is said that the fire ignited in the garage that quickly spread to the attic of their Brentwood home, resulting in a total loss. At the time of the blaze, the singer's three young children, nanny, and family dog were inside. Because of a fire safety class that his kiddos learned in school, they were able to escape the fire unharmed, dog and all. During the explosion, Rhonda Adkins, Trace Adkins wife, was phoned by a neighbor. "She said that the house was on fire and we looked up in the air and we saw the black smoke." Fortunately for Trace, the Mrs., and his family, they can all rest easy tonight, knowing that everyone is safe.
Thanks to the local fire department, the children were encouraged to develop their own safety plan in case of a fire just earlier in the school year. Rhonda says, "They ran to their safe place like we practiced, in the front yard at a big tree. And it worked. You know, fire safety is so important, and today we used it."
Indeed. Trace Adkins has expressed his appreciation for the Brentwood Fire Department for their quick response, as well as the concerns from friends and fans via his website.
He encourages YOU to practice your own family safety drills.
