Fiona Apple To Release New Album In 2012

After fading away from the mainstream spotlight, L.A. Reid of Epic Records has announced that singer Fiona Apple is gearing up to release her much awaited fourth studio album, and will debut her latest efforts this year, as confirmed by Rolling Stone.

Filling in fans via Twitter, here’s what Reid had to say about the Apple’s forthcoming collection of new tracks.  "Lot's of good music coming from @Epic_Records in the next few weeks,” Reid posted to Twitter this past Sunday. “Stay tuned music fans. Welcome back Fiona! #BeEpic”

After making the announcement Reid, the CEO of Epic, then confirmed it was indeed Fiona Apple he was speaking about.  The news regarding Apple’s return, with an album that is reportedly all ready to be released, comes after a silent 2011.  The year the thirty-four year old’s album was initially to be released, but unfortunately wasn’t due to circumstances beyond the song writer’s control.

Per The Frisky, Fiona played a concert in recent months, and when asked to play a new song off of her upcoming album, the singer replied -“I can’t remember any of my new songs because they’ve been done for a f**king year.”

Although an official date was not revealed, fans and media outlets suspect that the Criminal singer’s fourth album will drop to shelves sometime this coming spring.
