"E.t." Video Review

"E.T." is another pop song from Katy Perry that will certainly catch on, despite of the numerous flaws and little innovation, taken from the album "Teenage Dream".

There are some talks about this being Katy's more mature sound, an evolution that shows that the artist gained perspective in her search for perfection. These ludicrous reviews appear at every major single debut, devoid of meaning or sense. In E.T.'s case, the birth of the single took place after an accidental listen, the beat being originally meant for Three 6 Mafia.

Although the song has in theory a sci-fi approach, it's actually filled with erotic connotations, which in this case clearly denote some weird sexual deviations of the songwriters.

The guest verses from Kanye West only make things worse, picturing himself as an alien, or in his translation "a big headed astronaut", who only wants to probe somebody. When you hear somebody say "I'mma probe you" do you want to hear him sing all day or just run like hell?

The music video has some really nice effects, thanks to director Floria Sigismondi. You can see a mixture of sci-fi elements, flamboyant costumes and two monkeys humping in what looks like to be a subliminal message. I know the objective of pop music is to repopulate the Earth, but can't this be done in am more elusive manner?

first of all who is the old katey perry girl you are a crazy woman you need to chill out its 2011 get with it.

an artist can experiment and portray the different dimensions....the experiment might have gone wrong but i appreciate the efforts she has given into this project...i think she is matured enough and she has found her own style and perspective.i love katy perry and want her to explore different shades of life and aesthetic through her experimentations.

And the whole reproducing thing with an alien is just SLIGHTLY disturbing..... I'm overall completely and utterely shocked and think the vid should be redone, no offense to Katy, but come on, sweety, you're better than that. Please don't succumb to this trying to reach perfection.

I was slightly disturbed at Katy's new diviation.... I never expected Katy would go in this direction... it's kind of like she's gone Gaga on us all... which is kind of a scary thought coz one Gaga is enough..... Kanye West completely SUCKS and should be kicked out of the music video... he doesn't fit.. and yes the part about imma probe you.... makes me want to run like ****... now, if it had been somebody like Enrique Iglesias or Pitbull, I can understand...but... Kanye??
