Enrique Iglesias Works With Pitbull Again on New Single “Freak”
Over three years ago, Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias scored a hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with “I Like It.” That song, as well as full-length album Euphoria, turned out to be a hit for the singer, who recently hinted at putting out a follow-up.
While a title and release date have not been announced, Iglesias’ singles have been dropping over the past year, with the latest being “Freak,” another collaboration with Pitbull.
The track premiered this week and includes production from The Cataracs. This track and preceding singles “Heart Attack,” “Finally Found You,” and “Turn Up The Night” are all expected for Iglesias’ next release.
Euphoria was both Iglesias’ first bilingual album and first release on Universal. The tracklist included seven tracks in English and six in Spanish. While the album has since sold 4 million copies globally, not to mention 18 million singles, it took home a few awards, including the Billboard Music Award for Top Latin Album. Multiple artists collaborated with him, including Ludacris, Akon, Usher, and Nicole Scherzinger. Upon its release, Euphoria debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 with 27,000 copies its first week.
While Iglesias hasn’t said much about this upcoming release, he has talked about having a new sound, so we’ll see what he comes up with. You can hear “Freak” here:
