Emeli Sande Releases The Music Video For 'My Kind Of Love'

Emeli Sande has recently released the music video for "My Kind Of Love", the fourth single to come off her stunning debut album Our Version of Events.

Originally planning on starting her career in medicine, Emeli Sande completed four years of the rigorous training to be a doctor. She has stated that if her plans in the music industry don't come to fruition, she intends to complete the medical training.

Inspired by patients in hospital and how their families and friends rallied around during the time of the illness and treatment, Emeli realised how many other things in life just pale into insignificance when the life of a loved one hangs in the balance. As quoted by her on VEVO, "When people arrived at the hospital, money and status became irrelevant and only health mattered, which sparked an honesty between people which was amazing. This interaction, declaration of support and love, was the inspiration for ‘My Kind of Love’. "  

The music video shows Emeli visiting a sick friend in hospital. As is often the case, the hospital patient is very happy to get a visitor. In this case, to boost the morale, the patient is taken out for the day. Emeli helps her to get dressed, and they even share a laugh as the patient dons a pink wig, just so that she will blend in with the crowd and not look like a "sick patient". The clip continues, showing the drive through the city, sharing a bag of crisps, singing loudly in time with music in the car, and generally just having some fun. It is really heart-warming to see the genuine happiness generated by the thoughtfulness of a friend taking the patient out for the day. 

Emeli sings again in this track with her powerful voice. She reaches the high notes, the low notes, and everything in between with sheer perfection.

"My Kind Of Love" is a great inspirational song, performed with mastery. The single will be officially released at the end of May.
