Ed Sheeran Offers Up More Details About Upcoming Sophomore Album
Although Ed Sheeran has gladly provided details about One Direction’s albums, he has been reticent to speak with the same transparency about his own. Nevertheless, rather than the facetiousness of his past statements about making a metal or hip-hop album, Sheeran sat down with MTV News to discuss, with a certain degree of straightforwardness, his upcoming sophomore release.
However, from what we can see, Sheeran isn’t entirely sure about whether he’s truly done. He says the album is complete – but then makes changes. He explained: "Fans can expect songs. Good songs. Though I'm not 100-percent through with the production yet, I keep changing my mind about the songs."
Sheeran further addressed a rumored collaboration with Taylor Swift, as the two toured earlier together earlier this year. Unfortunately, the highly-anticipated collaboration seems to be a no-go, and Sheeran, it appears, would rather just hang around with the popular singer: "There's been no talks with Taylor about writing tunes, because when we both have time off, we just want to have time off. And she's got a beautiful new house, which is always fun to hang out in. I don't want to pick up a guitar and be like 'Hey, let's write another hit song!' I just want to chill; she's got a pool table, I quite like that."
Earlier, Sheeran explained that 40 demos had been recorded for the follow-up to +, but there’s no word how many tracks he plans to include.
