Drummer Kicked Out Of “My Chemical Romance” after Being Caught Stealing

Alternative rockers “My Chemical Romance” have announced that they have kicked out drummer Michael Pedicone from the band over a stealing incident that took place last week. Pndicone was MCR’s third drummer after founding member Matt Pelissier and Bob Bryar. He had joined the emo group a little less than a year ago and although they have already recruited his replacement in the form of former Death by Stereo drummer Jarrod Alexander, it isn’t clear whether it will be a permanent appointment or not.

The news of Pedicone’s departure was broken by the "Welcome to the Black Parade" band itself through a message posted on their official website.

Guitarist Frank Iero addressed the fans in the statement and wrote, "The relationship between My Chemical Romance and Michael Pedicone is over. He was caught red handed stealing from the band and confessed to police after our show last night in Auburn, Washington. We are heartbroken and sick to our stomachs over this entire situation. The band has no intention of pressing charges or taking this matter any further than we have to. We just want him out of our lives. The people who play in this band are a family, and family should not take advantage of each other like he did."

Pedicone hasn’t completely denied the allegations leveled against him. He posted a message on micro-blogging website Twitter, in which he described the incident as an error of judgment.

"What happened is more complicated than it sounds but I did make a mistake. It was never my intention to hurt this band or all of you. ... It was an error in judgment based on a whole other situation that's way deeper but this does not define me," the drummer tweeted.

The tweet has now been deleted by the Pedicone.
