Drake Earns Final Credit, Graduates From High School

The Canadian rapper played a high school student on television but now he's a real graduate. Drake Earns Final Credit, Graduates From High School

Drake has become a worldwide phenomenon and has celebrated the success of two platinum-certified albums but there was one thing that continued to elude him – his high school diploma.

While he could have just measured himself on his music sales and popularity (a romance with Rihanna and feuds with Chris Brown), he wanted to finish what he had started.  With just a credit missing, the 25-year-old was determined to pass his only remaining course.

Here’s the ironic thing.  The Canadian rapper actually dropped out of school while appearing as a disabled student on the fictional television show, Degrassi: The Next Generation

The star, who was born Aubrey Graham, enlisted the help of a teacher who, for the last five months, instructed him and helped him reach his goal.

He tweeted: "97% on my final exam. 88% in the course. One of the greatest feelings in my entire life. As of tonight I have graduated high school!"

Dreezy added: "Thank you to my teacher Kim Janzen for spending the last 5 months working tirelessly with me!!"

It’s always great to see celebrities setting a good example for their fans.
